Wood pellet production
Making pellets for boilers is an effective way to utilize wood waste. Here are the main stages of obtaining wood pellets:
- Raw material preparation. Wood waste such as sawdust, wood chips or wood shavings are first dried to a certain moisture content. This makes it easier to grind the raw material and ensures the stability of the process;
- Shredding. The dry wood raw material is crushed in a crushing machine, which improves its combustibility and ensures the homogeneity of the pellets;
- Pressing. The crushed raw material is mixed with organic binders to ensure easy pressure pressing process and improve pellet quality;
- Cooling and drying. The formed pellets are cooled and dried to eliminate excess moisture and to give them strength;
- Packaging. Ready fuel pellets are packed in polyethylene bags of different sizes or big-bags, which provide protection of products from moisture and damage.
The technology of wood pellets production allows obtaining high-quality fuel that can be used in solid fuel boilers, stoves or specialized pellet burners. This is a clean and safe source of energy, contributing to the effective utilization of wood waste and reducing the negative impact on the environment.
